We are planning a Family Fun Weekend starting off Saturday with some bouncy castles and fun activities for children to participate in. On Sunday we will be hosting a Children's Olympics as well for all children 12 and under to compete for a chance to win ribbons! If you're interested please check the box below!

IN CONSIDERATION OF myself, child/ward being allowed to participate in any way in the 2022 BCSF related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

The risks of injury and illness (ex: communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) to my child from the activities involved in these programs are significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist; and,

1. FOR MYSELF, SPOUSE, AND CHILD/WARD, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASES or others, and assume full responsibility for myself and/or child’s participation; and,
2. I willingly agree to comply with the program’s stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant concern in myself and/or child’s/ward's readiness for participation and/or in the program itself, I will remove myself/child/ward from the participation and bring such attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
3. I myself, my spouse, my child/ward, and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS HSA-UWC and the BCSF Staff; its directors, officers, officials, agents, employees, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property incident to my child’s involvement or participation in these programs, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. I, for myself, my spouse, my child/ward, and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS all the above Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my involvement or participation in these programs, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. I, the parent/guardian, assert that I have explained to my child/ward: the risks of the activity, his/her responsibilities for adhering to the rules and regulations, and that my child/ward understands this agreement.

I, FOR MYSELF, MY SPOUSE, AND CHILD/WARD, HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT WE HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.





Code of Conduct Acceptance

BCSF VISION AND CODE OF CONDUCT

Our mission at the Blessed Culture and Sports Festival is to provide the platform where we can display our best form in sportsmanship and artistic expression and to share that with friends and family. BCSF strives to create a hub for Unificationists and their friends to connect and celebrate the values of our community through sports and culture. This event is a time and place where we bring together the best of what our communities have to offer from around the country and world. Although we come from many different regions and backgrounds with differences in culture, our commonality is the shared values and beliefs that we have been given by our community of faith that binds us together. To honor that shared experience, it is very important to us that we are able to uphold a certain standard of behavior and attitude and do it where it is evoked from the best parts of ourselves. We speak of being a family and so we ask that everyone looks out for each other physically, emotionally and spiritually. 

As a family friendly event, we ask that all the participants and attendees refrain from certain behaviors that reduce the quality and experience of everyone involved. Our code that we ask you to agree to abide by while you are at the BCSF is as follows:


REGISTRATION and PARTICIPATION

All persons must be registered for the event according to their participation level. Not being properly registered will result in being asked to leave the event. Registration is defined as:

  • Payment for sports, cultural, spectator and/or accommodation arrangements
  • All sections of registration forms MUST be filled out
  • This Code of Conduct must be signed and dated
  • Registration bands must be worn around the wrist throughout the duration of the event

Participation or observation of cultural events is reserved for participants aged 16 and above. Participation in sports events is reserved for participants aged 16 and above, exceptions are up to the team captain's discretion.


ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

No possession, use or distribution of drugs, alcohol or tobacco products or substance considered illegal by the US Federal Government will be allowed.

2. With substantiated claims, the BCSF staff reserves the right to search the possessions of any individuals suspected of any of these actions.

3. With substantiated claims, the BCSF staff reserves the right to outsource search methods, including but not limited to bringing a detection dog on campus.

4. Any behavior associated with being under the influence of any of these listed above, will results in BCSF Core staff taking any of the following actions at their discretion: 

  • Expulsion from the event
  • Forfeiture of any admission fees and immediate disqualification from any event
  • Parent(s) and/or immediate supervisor(s) will be informed and individuals(s) will be asked not to return for a period of (2) years


INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

The following behavior is deemed inappropriate and may results in being asked to leave AND/OR forfeiture of any admission fees AND/OR disqualification of any event for the following reasons:

  • Excessive noise after evening closing and before the first morning event
  • Any behavior which causes excessive physical or mental discomfort to fellow participants
  • Any verbal abuse or disrespectful language
  • Inappropriate attire
  • Tampering with BCSF equipment and/or disrupting any event, presentation or show 

CURFEW AND ACCOMMODATIONS

All participants must follow curfews and accommodation rules

Anyone not registered for accommodation must leave grounds by 11:30PM

All grounds will be OFF LIMITS from 11:00PM to 6:00AM the following day

  • This excludes sleeping areas and the designated "Hang out" areas 
  • "Hang out" areas will be closed at 2:00AM. At this time, all participants MUST return to their registered accommodation area (tent or dormitory)
  • There will be NO sleeping in any area except those designated as Official Accommodation by BCSF staff.

Dormitories will be divided by gender. No one of the opposite gender will be permitted in at any time.

Any individual without dormitory wristband will NOT be allowed in the dormitory area except for showers.


MINORS and ON-SITE GUARDIANS

  • Anyone under the age of 18 may not attend unless there is an adult guardian on-site of 25 years and older, who is LEGALLY responsible for their well-being and behavior.
  • Both the minor and on-site guardian must sign a form of agreement before registration
  • Any minor and on-site guardian must attend daily check-ins; 7:05PM outside the chapel (inside when raining) on Thursday-Saturday

Although this code applies to anyone who is on campus, we ask that anyone who is present at the event either on campus or not on campus respect and follow this code throughout the course of the event.
